Rick Holmes provided us with an interesting demonstration using acrylic inks and soft pastels. We look forward to our workshop with Rick next year.
A proud moment for Arundel Art Society as they presented a cheque for £1010 to Chestnut Tree House Hospice. The money was raised as part of our exhibition at the Arundel Gallery Trail with members providing art work that was auctioned for The Big Hoot.
Congratulations to one of our members Paul Thomas for his award of second prize in the Chichester Art Society "World of the Imagination' Award. His abstract work was titled 'What Lurks in the Dark".
Members enjoyed a workshop by Marcus Finch. It was a day of many techniques tried, paintings produced and lots of knowledge shared.
Thank you to Rupert who once again welcomed us to paint in his garden and grounds.
Our new Portrait Group began in February 2024 meeting monthly in Clymping Hall. It has been such a success that it is our intention to continue in 2025.
What a great talk by Wendy Barratt winner of the Sky Portrait Artist of the Year 2023. Wendy shared her experiences and knowledge with us and kept us entertained with her 'down to earth' approach.
Georgina, Duchess of Norfolk chose Mark Hulme's etching 'Smartphone" as her favourite painting at our exhibition at the Arundel Gallery Trail.
Arundel Gallery Trail Exhibition - we had another very successful year as part of the Arundel Festival with many visitors and sales at our exhibition. We also held an online auction as part of the Big Hoot and raised over £1000 for the Chestnut Tree House Hospice for children alongside a raffle for the NSPCC, which raised £244.
We held a successful exhibition by some of our members as part of the East Preston Festival.
An entertaining and interesting Talk by Steve about 'Unleashing the Light'. Great Dialogue with the audience and challenges to thinking about colour in our painting.
Members enjoyed a very productive day with Susan Gray Seascapes and Acrylics.

As always, Jake's workshops never disappoint. A very informative guide to painting an architectural scene of Venice in watercolour together with a brief exercise painting Thames barges and their reflections.
What a great day out to London. We had a joint coach trip with Arun art society visiting galleries in London - The National Gallery, Portrait Gallery and Tate Britain. Now looking forward to the next one!
