The Arundel Art Society has, since its inception by Thelma Hall in 1977, existed to encourage and promote art in its many forms in and around the area of Arundel, Sussex.
We offer a warm welcome to anyone with an interest in painting from the novice to seasoned professional.
We come from all walks of life drawn together by our passion for creating art, be it pastels, watercolour, acrylics, oils, mixed media, and pencil.
We meet regularly to enjoy the company of like minded people. We hold exhibitions through the year for those of our group wishing to sell the results of their passion.
Arundel Art Society partners with The Arun Art Society, sharing access to each other's annual programme of demonstrations and workshops (see Programme).

One of our members, Sue Olford, writes about our history.
A resident of Yapton Thelma often held committee meetings in her own home. The Society met in the Norfolk Centre in Arundel.
Thelma started as secretary with Percy Ward as the Chairman and her husband Max was the first treasurer.

The Committee comprises of nine members, each with a role to co-ordinate, support, and promote the activities of the Society.
