Led by Andrew Wallis, President of Arundel Art Society.
During October 2026, Andrew will be holding an introduction to Watercolour Painting.
St. Marys Church Hall Clymping, West Sussex, BN17 5 RB
Thursday 8th October 2 - 4 pm
Monday 12th October 7 - 9 pm
Thursday 22nd October 2 - 4 pm
Monday 26th October 7 - 9 pm
Each week you will create a painting using basic techniques such as laying a flat and graduated wash, wet in wet and dry brush techniques.
You will consider composition and tonal value and the importance of planning.
Along the way you will also discover how different paper, brushes and paints work differently.
Spaces available for 6 people.
Fee £25.00 payable on reserving your seat for 4 weeks to cover the cost of materials – paper,
paints and brushes provided for use in the sessions.
You provide – enthusiasm, a water container of ideally one litre or thereabouts, kitchen roll, old
tea towel.
Andrew will suggest a list of essential materials, helping you to avoid the pitfalls of buying too much of the wrong thing.
It is hoped that at the end of the short course you will be enthused enough to carry on painting
and consider joining the Arundel Art Society or Arun Art Society.
Please contact Andrew on 07585554883 or email him ndrwwallis7@gmail.com to book a space or for further information.
